| Although we recently celebrated the closing of Dr. Hearn’s clinic in Boulder —where abortions were performed up to birth — a new abortion clinic has now opened in that same building. According to their website, riseboulder.org, “Abortion, at any stage of pregnancy, is legal and protected in Colorado. You may safely come to Colorado for care from any state or country, and your privacy will be protected.” A video on their site adds, “Any reason you have for needing abortion care is yours, and it is the right one.” We can’t help but ask — how can this be right? To grant protected status to take innocent life, especially in late-term cases, is deeply troubling. To advocate for the killing of babies in the womb up to 34 weeks, or at any stage, is heartbreaking and grievous. It breaks our hearts because the same God who created the beauty and majesty of the earth also lovingly created every human life. Acts 17:26 reminds us: “From one man, He made every nation of men, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and He determined the times set for them and the exact places where they should live.” God created each of us in His image. He lovingly and purposefully formed us in the secret place — not to destroy us, but to give us life and life more abundantly. If we truly understood our value in Christ and the destiny He designed for us, we would also recognize the immeasurable worth of every unborn child. The enemy has deceived many, just as he did in the Garden, trading truth for lies and destiny for deceit. Every day, women walk through our doors searching for help — and often, deep down, hoping there’s another way besides abortion. They come burdened by fear, confusion, and overwhelming circumstances. But we know their steps are ordered by the Lord. Not all who come choose life, but we count it a privilege to meet each one with compassion and truth — to educate, empower, and bring the hope and love of Christ. And we rejoice to see hearts changed, babies saved, and lives transformed. These are the moments that renew our strength and remind us why we press on, even as heartbreaking news surrounds us. We may feel like a small drop in a vast ocean, but that drop matters — you matter — and your partnership makes an eternal difference. Through your financial support, volunteer service, and faithful prayers, you are saving lives and advancing the Kingdom of God. We are forever grateful for you. The Apostle Paul warned that in later times, some would turn from the faith and follow deceitful spirits and teachings of demons. Yet he also declared, “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith” (2 Timothy 4:7). The battle for life may continue until Jesus returns, but it is indeed a good and noble fight. Our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the spiritual forces of darkness in this world. We must remain steadfast — praying fervently and standing boldly — for there is still much work to do to turn a culture of death into a culture of life. |
